The Olympic Mountains
Set on the Olympic Peninsula of western Washington, the highest point of the Olympic Mountains is on Mount Olympus at 7,962 ft (2,427 m). The western face of this mountain range faces the Pacific Ocean and thus receives very high rainfall each year. Most of the mountains are located within the bounds of the Olympic National Park. |
